Emmanuel Macron has served as President of the French Republic since 2017 and was reelected in 2022. The Élysée biography identifies him as the eighth President of France’s Fifth Republic.

Before the presidency, Macron worked in the French Inspectorate General of Finance, the private sector, the presidential staff and as Minister of the Economy, Industry and Digital Affairs.
